Historic South Park Street Captains
Historic South Park identified Street Captains throughout the neighborhood. Street Captains will help address issues for their designated portion of the neighborhood, resulting in quicker resolutions of problems.
The Street Captains have received training from neighborhood leaders and will assist the community in several ways. One way is by helping neighbors work together on issues that matter to them, issues ranging from vandalism and blighted homes to crime waves. The Street Captains will be empowering individuals to solve problems themselves by providing materials and techniques that have been used successfully in the past. At the same time, they will evaluate situations to determine whether involvement by additional neighbors or the police is warranted.
The Street Captains have been identified for the following streets. If your street is not included, you still have the opportunity to volunteer. If you are interested in being a Street Captain, or have any other questions about this program, please email Amanda Moran at aamoran (at) sbcglobal.net.
