Annual Perennial Exchange: Cleaning out your flower garden? On Saturday, April 17th at 10am, neighbors bring their unwanted perennials to the South Park Green at Hickory & James for giving or trading.

Just starting a garden? Even if you don’t have any perennials to bring, you are welcome to come get some plants and give them a new home.

South Park Urban Garden (SPUG) is the community garden at Burns & Nathan. Sign up for a garden bed and try your hand at growing some vegetables. Visit SPUG on Sunday, April 18 from 10am-12N, 2-4pm. Get a tour and select a bed.

South Park’s 5th Annual Earth Day Neighborhood Cleanup takes place Fri-Sun, April 23-25. Bring your pup and poo pickup tools to the Dog Walk + Clean up at 5pm Friday, starting at Blommel Park. Join our 5th Annual Trashenger Hunt on Saturday at 2pm at Blommel Park and join with other families in picking up litter. Get your free t-shirt, free pizza and a raffle ticket for participating! August 7: our 2nd PPD of 2021

Although PPDs are usually carry-ins, in deference to public health concerns, we’ll have the food catered. Rumor has it, it will be a tasty buffet that will please omnivores and vegetarians alike. There will still be beverages for all, including beer and wine. Bring a lawn chair if you like.
