Keep South Park Green Spaces Looking Beautiful!

10 Jun

We need your help to keep South Park green spaces looking beautiful!

The City of Dayton mows, but does not provide any other maintenance to the green spaces that make our neighborhood so beautiful – flowerbeds, trees, shrubs, all that is up to us!

HSPI is raising funds for maintenance projects for four green spaces throughout the neighborhood. For each campaign, we provide an estimate of what basic maintenance would cost for this year’s summer/fall season. If we meet our fundraising goals, we should be able to get our green spaces looking great this year, and give them a healthy head-start for next year, reducing our long-term maintenance costs!

Please consider donating to help maintain one of the four green spaces below:

Park Drive Boulevard park dr blvd main

It would cost $1000 to weed, apply pre-emergent, and mulch all the flowerbeds along the Park Drive boulevard at the beginning and end of the season. Please contribute what you can! We will only be able to do what we can fund.

Burns Avenue Boulevard burns ave flyer photo main

It would cost $1650.00 to weed, apply pre-emergent, and mulch the flowerbeds, endcaps, and trees along the Burns Avenue boulevard at the beginning and end of the season. Please contribute what you can! We will only be able to do what we can fund, so if we raise only $1200.00, we’d only be able to do a portion of the beginning-of-season cleanup.

Wyoming and Alberta Entrance Wyoming Alberta entrance main

It would cost $175 to weed, apply pre-emergent, and mulch the garden at our Wyoming and Alberta Street entrance at the beginning and end of the season. Please contribute any amount you can! If we only raise $100, we’d only be able to do part of the beginning-of-season cleanup.

South Park Green south park green main

It would cost $575.00 to weed, apply pre-emergent, and mulch the fence-line flowerbed at the South Park Green at the beginning and end of the season. We will only be able to do what we can fund, so if we raise only $300.00, we’d only be able to do the beginning-of-season cleanup.
