It’s a sure sign of spring. South Park’s Annual Perennial Exchange took place at 10am on Saturday, April 17th, in the South Park Green on Hickory Street. Gardeners needing more space in their flower beds brought plants to share, and were welcome to take away new species from their neighbors’ gardens.

The Perennial Exchange is always a bit of a garden “social,” a good time to visit with new and old neighbors, and for those new to gardening, it’s a great way to start. You don’t need to bring flowers to exchange, you are welcome to come and take a few plants and benefit from the advice of those who’ve been making things blossom for years. A special thank-you to Betsy Wilson for coordinating this lovely event.
