Last year, Historic South Park was awarded a Capital Improvements grant in the amount of $300,000 to fix walkways and add historic lighting on the Park Drive Boulevard. As part of the grant, we were asked to contribute $5,000 in matching funds, so, in December, we embarked on a matching fund campaign.
As of February 16, 2011, we have met our goal! In true South Park spirit, neighbors and friends came together to help us raise matching funds. We offer our heartfelt thanks everyone who contributed their time and talents to this campaign, especially Melissa Aldridge and Karin Manovich for their many hours spent writing and winning this grant. Look for the improvements on Park Drive starting in April!
