“Shakespeare in South Park” is back for its third season!
This year we present “Romeo and Juliet” in the fair South Park Green, 8:00 p.m., September 17-19, directed again by the wonderful Daniel Wilson and produced by neighbors Phyllis and Galen. The tale of star-crossed lovers is set around the time of the U.S. Civil War.
Many South Park residents are in the cast. In fact, no previous theatre experience is required to be in these productions–yet it brings out some wonderfully experienced Dayton actors, for a wholly enjoyable night at the theater!
Rehearsals are now underway, but if you are interested in helping in any way, we always welcome volunteers. Contact co-producers Galen Wilson ([email protected]) or Phyllis Tonne ([email protected]). It is free to attend the performance; however, we do pass the hat to cover the costs of the production. (South Park Green is at Hickory & James. In case of rain, we will move into Hope Lutheran Church, just across the street.)
It’s so much fun to see your friends onstage!
